Charleston Beer Runners MM/DD/YYYY

This week is our 4th Annual CBR Holiday Lights Run! We'll run around town in holiday lights checking out holiday lights, and make our way to Carolina Ale House - Charleston, a fun sports bar with lots of beer and a great view of Marion Square!

The CBR Holiday Lights Run is a little different from our normal runs. Instead of everyone falling into their own pace, we'll try to stay together as much as possible (the route has a "few" turns). That means we'll be running a slower pace (around 10-10:30, depending on runners). We will be *stopping at certain locations* to take pictures of the lights. ALSO, PLEASE WEAR LIGHTS! (Yes, holiday lights too!) The more lit up everyone is, the easier it will be to stick together!

Our Route:
From the gazebo, we'll take a right and run around the park. Left on Ashley then right on Moultrie. Left on President, left on Huger, then right on Sutherland, left on Congress, left on Glenwood, run around *Allen Park, then right on Ashley. Stop at *MUSC, then continue on Ashley. Left on Beaufain, right on Rutledge, then left on Broad (*Colonial Lake). Left on Church then left on Market (*Dock Street, City Market, Belmond). From The Belmond, double back on Market and take a left on Meeting (*Fire Department). Left on Society, then right on on King (*run through Marion Square). Right on Calhoun, and the bar will be on our left! (~4.6 mi)

*Run Stops:
- Allen Park (mile 0.75)
- MUSC (mile 1.8)
- Colonial Lake (mile 2.5)
- Dock Street Theater (mile 3.3)
- City Market (mile 3.5)
- Belmond Charleston Place (mile 3.6)
- Charleston Fire Department, Station 2/3 (mile 3.9)
- Marion Square Park (mile 4.2)

Water Fountains:
Hampton Park: gazebo (start) & lake
Allan Park (mile 1.25), in front of the fountain
Cannon Park (mile 2.25), on the left under the trees
Moultrie Playground (mile 2.6), on the right, next to the bathrooms
Colonial Lake (mile 2.8), corner of Broad and Ashley
Colonial Lake (mile 3), corner of Rutledge and Beaufain

Remember to bring your ID and some money for the bar!
It's getting dark out there, so please wear something bright and reflective! Flashing lights are a great and easy way to be seen by traffic.

Start: 6:30pm at the Hampton Park gazebo

**This is the pre-holiday lights run. This run loops around Wagener Terrace and ends at the gazebo for the regular 7pm CBR run.**
Meet up early at the Hampton Park gazebo and let's check out the neighborhood holiday lights together! Wagener Terrace Neighborhood has some of the best home decorations downtown, and we have to see them!

Our Route:
From the gazebo, we'll head directly to 10th St. Left on Dunneman, right on 6th, right on St Margaret, right on 8th, right on Grove, then turn around and head back, left on 10th, left on Gordon then double back and hit up the other side of 10th on Gordon, then back and take a left on 10th. Left on Grove, right on 12th and back to Dunneman then 10th then back to the gazebo. (~1.9 mi)

Why the pre-run?
Since the #CBRholidayLightsRun is a lengthier run (due to the spread out lights downtown), we wanted to showcase these neat decorations without making the main run too long.
