Internationally Acclaimed Guest Artists, Masterworks of the Chamber Music Repertoire in Charleston's Most Historic Theater!

Chamber Music Charleston (CMC) opens the 2017-2018 Ovation Concert Series on Sunday, November 12 at the historic Dock Street Theatre (135 Church Street) with a program of masterwork of the chamber music repertoire performed by some of the nations' top musicians.

Guest violinist Amy Schwartz Moretti and pianist Andrew Armstrong will join CMC's violinist Jenny Weiss, violist Ben Weiss and cellist Timothy O'Malley in a program of music including Saint-Saëns' “Havanaise” and Dvořák's Piano Quartet in E-Flat Major.

Guests will also be treated to a surprise piece that will be accompanied by a special announcement about the organization's collaboration with the Música en Segura Festival in Spain.

As CMC enters their 11th season, we are excited to announce that the Dock Street Theatre will be our home for the acclaimed Ovation Concert Series. CMC will continue the tradition of great chamber music on the historic stage with three exceptional programs featuring guest artists and masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire.

In addition to the Nov. 12 program, CMC will return on January 7, 2018 with Grammy Award-winning violinist Karen Kim joining musicians of CMC in music of Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

The final Ovation Concert, on March 20, will highlight the thrilling collaboration with the Música en Segura Festival in Spain. Three of the festival's guest artists will perform in alongside musicians of CMC in a program of music by Beethoven, Brahms and Stravinsky. In May, the CMC musicians will travel to Spain to participate in the Música en Segura Festival.
